Dear Daisy May,

I have always been a good student and a bit of a procrastinator, but during the summer I decied to take some iniative and sign up for more diffucult classes during the upcoming year. But now I realize that I have taken too much than I can handle! I signed up for FOUR A.P classes and it’s killing me! In every class I have homework, projects, essays, notes and so much more! I’m also an established athlete and very involved with the school, but I have no idea what I am going to do! I barely get any sleep and my social life is going down the drain! I’m so stressed out and worried about my grades and my life in general! Please help me out!

Sincerly,

A Stressed Mess

Dear Stress,

I know what it’s like to be stressed out about school, especially in high school; with all the grades, crazy teachers, and friends, it’s hard not to stress out every once in a while. But the best advice I can give you is to develope a plan that will give you enough time for school, friends and sports. Develope a time management schedule and follow it for a while, eventually you’ll find that school is a breeze. Another thing, DON’T PROCRASTINATE! It’s horrible and it will just lead you into a bigger heap of trouble. Stress can also lead to other side effects, like getting sick, and no one likes that; So I suggest that every time you are stressed out just leave your homework there, go outside or on a jog, come back and I promise you’ll be refreshed in no time. Or if that doesn’t work, a quick snack is always the best fix, at least for me! Well I hope I was some help and remember to just breathe.

Sincerly,

Daisy May
