El Presidente: Senior Spotlight

Matt Spring , the guy that anyone would have the honor of meeting. He has lived in Dublin his whole life. He started his education at Nielsen elementary but then attended Dublin elementary after it was remodeled, then he attended Wells Middle School , and now he is in his senior year at Dublin High. For years, Matt has been involved in many different activities at Dublin high.

Mr. Sbranti shares “Out my nine years of being the activities director, Matt Spring has been one of the most outstanding leaders that has attended Dublin High.”

 As you should all know, Matt has been in leadership since his freshmen year. His sophomore year he was the class treasurer, then in his junior year he was both class treasurer and Dublin High’s school board representative. And now he is that A.S.B. president of Dublin High. Matt Spring has always been a natural born leader. During one of his years Matt got to go to a leader for the Northern California youth seminar. Matt says “Being A.S.B. officer is hard work but I enjoy doing it all”.

During his free time he is a busy guy doing many things to help out in the community. For example, Matt has been involved in the Youth Advisory Committee for three years and has been its president. He also has a job working for a real estate office, and in addition he tutors a fourth grader. Matt also has swam for Dublin High his sophomore and junior year. Even though Matt’s time is occupied with many different activities he still makes time to hang with his friends.

Kyria Bastida says “Matt been my friend since we were like six years old. He’s always there for me and he makes me laugh so much! He’s amazing”

As you can see Matt is taking his future head on for something great. He has planned to go to college at U.C. Davis or U.C. San Diego. He says that he wants to major in political science, but still is not exactly sure to what he wants to do. Dublin High is lucky to have a student like Matt Spring . We know that he is determined to accomplish his goals.
