Proving your Manliness
-Ravali Reddy

Want to prove your manliness? Ever wanted to play football but couldn’t? Well if you’re a junior or a senior guy, then here’s your chance. Dublin High will be having its first ever Manly Puff game this year on November 15th and everyone is welcome to join in on the fun.

For those of you who don’t know what Manly Puff is, it’s a lot like the annual Powderpuff game. Manly Puff is going to be a flag football game between the Junior and the Senior guys. But here’s the catch, the only guys that are allowed to play are those who don’t already play football for the school. The teams will consist of guys who play either no sport or a sport other than football. “I think it’s going to be a lot of fun. Seniors are going to dominate, of course!” said senior Kris Nilsen.

Some of the rules, like the field size, will be different from those of Powderpuff, but the majority of the game will be essentially the same. The teams will be coached by the varsity football players and if we’re lucky, we might even get to see some interesting cheerleaders! “I think Manly Puff is a really good idea. It’s going to give all the guys a chance to play football and show off their manliness!” said senior Trevor Morrissey.

Well guys, if you’ve always wanted to play football but never had the time, here’s your opportunity! Joining your class’s Manly Puff team will help boost class spirit and let you have a good time out on the field with your friends. So start warming up and even if you can’t play, be sure to head out to the game on November 15th to show your support!
