Seniors are Going Places

As the semester continues on many seniors have already started looking at their options and college plans. Where to apply seems to be the thoughts of many students and a lot have already begun the process.

Some of the most popular UCs to apply to for this senior class are Berkeley , Davis , and San Diego . Another is the always popular Santa Barbara . “My top choice for UC’s, as of now, are Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz . I just love the weather down there!” said Haley Burgardt.

If you’re looking for a private school, a lot of seniors are applying to Pepperdine and Stanford. If you don’t want to compete for a place at such a prestigious school St. Mary’s another place students have been considering. “I’ll probably apply to Stanford just to see if I can get in. It’s a good school but I don’t think I would actually go there,” said Hannah Tovestein.

CSUs that are popular this year at Dublin High are mostly in Southern California . The popular state schools include Cal Poly, San Diego State , and Long Beach State . “ San Diego State is definitely my top school. I love the atmosphere plus my brother is going to school down there too,” said Brittany Cohen.

If you don’t want to stay in California you’re not alone. Many seniors have also considered Arizona State , Colorado , and BYU. “I will be applying to BYU and Arizona . Even though I’ll miss my parents and friends I think it’s good to get away for college,” said Gabrielle LeCheminant.

Although most deadlines are not until the end of November, now is the time to check out all the different campuses and narrow down your choices until you find those couple of schools that are perfect for you!
