NHL Update: Week 17 It was a disappointing weekend if you are a football fan in the bay area. Both of our teams, the Raiders and the 49ers, lost. The 49ers got spanked by the New York Giants. It was a horrible game to watch because everything went wrong for them. It was the 49ers 4th straight loss, but was the Giants 5th straight win. Trent Dilfer was sacked 6 times by the Giants defense and was facing constant pressure. Eli Manning threw 3 touchdowns to Amani Toomer, Jeremy Shockey, and Brandon Jacobs ran for 107 yards and a touchdown, a career high. The Gaints won 33-15. The Oakland Raiders had a tough loss 12-10 against their division rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs. The game came down to the final minutes in the end of the game. The New England Patriots are still playing at a perfect level as Tom Brady threw for another 6 touchdowns against the Dolphins, killing them 49-28. This is the first time in the 48 year history of the Patriots that they have started off 7-0. Wes Welker had 138 yards and 2 touchdowns and Randy Moss had 122 yards for 2 touchdowns. It has been a very exciting season so far so make sure to stay tuned!
