2007 Homecomming Carnival
-Danielle Miklos

Dublin High School ’s 2007 Homecoming Carnival was a must attend event. It started at four o’clock, immediately after the homecoming parade and included inflatables such as slides, velcro walls, obstacle courses, and bounce houses.  There were also basketball competitions. The best thing about all of theses things is that it was free once you paid to enter, meaning that you could keep going and going till you knock yourself out.

There were many carnival games such as sumo wrestling and jousting, there was also the game where you test your strength by hitting the button with a bat making the bell hit the 100 mark at the top of the poll.

“The sumo wrestling was a welcome addition to the various sideshows on display at this year’s homecoming carnival” said Junior Michael Rose.

There were lots of different types of food and drinks available at the fair from the clubs at DHS.  Dublin High’s famous alumni also hosted a barbeque. The carnival had lots of music, entertainment, activities, and prizes.

Besides all the games and activities, there were many booths surrounding the edges of the carnival selling all sorts of neat stuff to raise money for either a club or their class.

“The booths were very well organized and the students were very enthusiastic to help out Dublin High School ” said George Chin, a junior here at Dublin High School .

From ‘blinky’ jewelry to all types of cool shirts, they had something for everyone who attended. If you happened to miss the carnival, be sure to attend next year because this year’s carnival was a spectacular event!
