A Little Bit of Freash Advice
-Jessica Sturla
Hopefully after a month of school everyone should be over the shock that summer is over and we’re back to the old routine. Freshmen if your not into the high school swing yet don’t stress you’ll get the hang of high school in no time! Here is a bit of advice to help you start off your freshmen year.
Do your homework: Homework isn’t just there to make your life horrible, it actually serves a purpose. Most of the questions that are on tests are usually taken directly from the homework. Even if you don’t think it’s important, do it! It sometimes may seem like your doing so much work for a measly amount of points, but hey, those points add up fast and before you know it homework can make or break your grade.
Stay on track: Don’t get caught up in the distracting world of high school drama. Dealing with drama can emotionally drain you. Drama = Stress. Do your best to just avoid drama, and you’ll be better off.
Don’t stress: I know it seems to be one of the easiest things to do, but try to avoid it at all times. It’s natural to get stressed when you have homework in ever class, tests and quizzes the next day and to top it all off a project all in the same week; not to mention all the after school activities. That’s a whole lot of stress. The thing is, if you just breathe and take everything, one by one, you are more likely to do and feel better.
Hopefully this advice has helped. Progress reports come out on September 28 so that will give you a clue on how you are doing so far this year. Good luck freshmen! Make it a great year!
