DHS Dresses Up
-Alex Pochmara
Homecoming week was an exciting week with activities going on for spirit points all week. Everyday there was a new theme for each of the classes to dress up for. Each person that dressed up went to the little theater to get their class spirit points.
Monday was temporary tattoo day. Lots of people walking around the campus were wearing the. Some were even waiting outside of school with a stash ready to give some up if one of their other class members forgot to put one on. “I put tattoos all over myself,” said Senior Tyler Bliss, “I only wish that the day lasted longer!”
Tuesday was Country Club day. The guys wore a lot of sweaters and golf shorts with sunglasses of course. Girls had sweaters around their necks and most wore skirts with them. “It was like being in an actual country club! Everyone looked totally hot,” said Senior Jake Bratrude.
Wednesday was the day a lot of people were most excited about though. Heritage Day gave people the chance to show off where they are from and what their history is. “I’m Nicaraguan,” said Senior Daniel Mayorga, “It’s probably the greatest country ever and the rebels there are totally sweet.”
Thursday was the day when the classes finally got to show off what they’ve been working so hard on. The Seniors had their “Party Like A Rockstar” shirts on and almost every Senior you saw had one. Juniors had blue shirts that said “Full Throttle” and had assorted designs. Sophomores had a very impressive area and shirts with their “Lost” theme. Freshman also didn’t do so bad this year with their shirts themed “Monster.”
Overall it was an amazing week for school spirit and it showed off what our students had been working so hard on for so long.
