Bump, Set, Spike! Sophomore Chereese Thomas is a dedicated player to her Varsity Girls Volleyball team. Chereese has been playing volleyball for almost 3 years now and is very excited for this year, she has been waiting to play on varsity for a long time now and she has finally got here. She is also on the girls’ varsity basketball team, and is another great contributor to this team.

“I’ve worked my butt off to start on varsity volleyball, and it’s really paid off for me. ” says Chereese Thomas.

She has great teammates on the varsity squad this year; everyone gets along and supports each other on and off the court.

Sports have always been a big part of her life. She’s determined to be a leader on the court and help out her teammates in anyway possible. “I would have to say that my coach and my parents motivate me to do well on the court because they believe in my talents and my ability to push myself to the limit.” Having support by people who care for you is important for succeeding in sports and in life.

“Chereese is a great leader to the team this year, and contributes a lot of time and effort to the sport,” says teammate Lindsay Platter.

Her teammates look up to her on and off the court; she is a great role model for everyone on the team. She is looking forward to the rest of this year and the upcoming years.
