Curse Finally Lifted
-Josh Wilson

There was talk going around that Dublin High had a curse. A curse of consistently losing homecoming games. Well Friday night, the team put those talks to rest in front of a huge crowd. The Gaels played a great game against Alhambra , coming out on top with the final score of 14-0. The Gaels put together 422 yards rushing as they improve their record to 2-2.

Junior Frankie Davillier lead the team in rushing with 224 yards off of 11 carries. “Frankie had a great performance,” said Mike Costa, “they all showed a lot of heart out there.” Senior RB Andy Tran also had a good game as he put up 131 yards off of 15 carries.

The Gaels defense held the Bulldogs rushing offense to just 167 yards. They brought the intensity and made it last for four quarters. They really showed that they aren’t the same team as last year. They have moved on, and they can compete with any team in the DFAL.

Friday night was not only the homecoming game, but it was also Coach Moreno’s birthday. “We are glad that we can give him a win for his birthday,” says Jimmy Nuygen. And what a birthday present.

This week they face Campolindo at Campo. The boys will be looking to improve their record to3-2 (2-2 in league). They have the heart and they have the talent to come out with a win. Go out their and support the team!
