A Mid-School Year Night’s Dream

Lovers, actors and fairies? Oh my! Last week the Dublin High Drama Department performed their first play of the year, Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and everyone enjoyed it.
“I’m so proud of the entire cast!” said student director, Aubrey Davis. “All of the shows were really professional and everyone did a great job!”
The shows took place on Thursday, November 1, Friday, November 2, and Saturday, November 3 at 7:00 PM and Sunday, November 4 at 2:00 PM. Under the direction of Mr. Hoex and Mr. McQuigg, the talented cast from all different grades put together an amazing show that entertained like no other!
“I had a lot of fun working with the entire cast and it was great to see all the new freshmen talent!” said cast member, James Sievers.
The show had a good turnout of audience thanks to the previews hat took place at school last Tuesday, October 30. Some English teachers took their classes in throughout the day in order to watch a few scenes from the show, helping build up the interest in the show.
“I saw the preview in my English class on Tuesday and I thought it looked so interesting! I just had to go see it, and I’m glad I did!” said sophomore, Taylor Hall.
With amazing sets, costumes, and tons of talent, the play attracted audiences of all ages. Hats off to the cast and crew of A Midsummer Night’s Dream! The play was a huge success and everyone’s waiting eagerly for the next one! Take a bow guys, you definitely deserve it!
