Thanksgiving Break is Almost Here!

It’s almost that time of the year again. The time every kid in school loves and looks forward to all year longthe holidays! Halloween just passed so the next holiday is Thanksgiving.
Most kids don’t think of the turkey and feast though. It’s mostly an opportunity for students to catch their breaths and sleep in with the plethora of days off that we have. Of course, though on the 25th everyone gets together with their families and has a great feast! “I love thanksgiving so much!” said Senior Jake Bratrude, “I stuff my tummy so full!”
Some students aren’t staying in the area for Thanksgiving. “I’m going to
Oregon
for Thanksgiving!” said Senior Parker Wilson, “My family lives there and I hardly ever see them.”
Students will also be watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade live from
New York
with their parents that morning. The parade has been going on since 1924 and has become a staple for many families. “I’m going to curl up on the couch with my family and hot chocolate and watch the parade!” said Senior Tyler Bliss.
Of course though, the highlight of the night will still be the dinner. “My mom makes the best dinner,” said Senior Justin Holck, “I love Thanksgiving more than any other holiday.”
Something most families should do, but don’t is actually give thanks for things in their lies they are lucky to have. Parents can be thankful for their children, home, jobs, and possessions. Children should be thankful for their parents, friends, and everything else they have to be thankful for. After all that’s what Thanksgiving is really about isn’t it?
