A Little Love for the Line, #79

This time around, the Male Athlete of the Week is a guy that goes by the name of Josh Wilson. He plays football, he is a defensive lineman this year and gets some reps on offense. His pre-game antics are to listen to music and hang out with Amy Lopez, the athletic trainer.

“Josh is a good kid and one of the best football players” said lineman coach Denny Molzen.”

Josh had 5.5 sacks this season and continued to dominate the line of scrimmage. He may be a lineman, but he has featured in many positions on the field like tight end and running back.

Although he had a very successful year, he is unsure if he would like to pursue football in college. He hopes to one day be a sports agent and represent the professional athletes as well as athletics. “I am going to miss the team, the atmosphere, and the fact that it is an escape. I am going to miss the game period, there’s nothing like playing under the Friday night lights.

You can find Josh around the campus laughing and joking. If you ask him, you can find him in the “VIP”.  He is a pretty outspoken person and is waiting to meet new people. “I love Joshua Wilson with a passion,” exclaims Janelle Nunez.
