Dear Daisy May,

So there is this guy… let’s just call him Jacob. And he really likes me. And he has since sophomore year and now we are seniors. Recently he has been giving me things for no particular reason, maybe it’s to buy my affection? And I think its super nice but its not going to get me to like him. And the worst part of it is... I like his friend. Well actually a couple of his friends. But his friends are so loyal to him, which is a good thing, I guess but then again, I have no chance. He is really messing up my life.... what should I say?

Sincerely,
Just A Friend

Dear Friend,

This is a complicated situation, and I bet it’s really difficult to deal with, but if Jacob is as understanding as you say he is, I think he will understand the situation. It’s better to tell him the truth, than just lead him on and let him think that he has a chance. With so many feelings involved you also have to be careful, because situations like this can lead to more drama than necessary. Just make sure to keep it sweet, and tell him that you don’t want to lose your friendship with each other, since you have known each other for so long. Remember, whatever makes you happy will always be the right choice, just remember to aware of the people around you and their feelings. Go talk to him, and tell him the truth, I’m sure everything will turn out for the best. Good Luck!

Sincerely,
Daisy May
