The Golden Student: Sagar Desai

For years we have had the students heading for high success. But with Sagar Desai it’s no question about his heading for a very bright future. He was born in Hayward but then spent his first year in India with his family. He grew up in San Jose and spent his elementary school years there until the sixth grade. He moved to Dublin to start his sixth grade year at Wells Middle School . And now of course he is in his final year of his high school career.

Sagar Desai is a student that is extremely dedicated to his education. One can say that he going to be Victorian for he is the number one top rank of class of 08. He started his first AP class his sophomore year and this year so far he is taking two but will be three in his second semester. Not only is he top rank of his class, he is also the vice president of the class of 08. It’s also his first year in being in leadership and he enjoying every moment of it. When asked how he does so well, he shared, “I always try to get my stuff because I sometimes procrastinate but I stay up late getting all my stuff done. I’m usually under stress but it works out in the end.”

Mark Guadagni says about Sagar, “He’s manly, attractive, sexy, and one heck of a guy.”

With all the work he does he still likes to have a good time. He spends his time hanging out with friends and playing sports for fun. He like play everything; basketball, football, soccer…anything you name. The sport that he does play on a league for is tennis. Sagar has played tennis for years and ever since was a freshman he was on the varsity team. But other than sports he enjoys chilling with his friends, watching movies and seeing family. If he is not hanging out, then he is probably at his job working at Amici’s Pizzeria. Asking his co-worker and class president of the senior class, Tanya Vucetic, what she thinks about Sagar, she replied, “He’s a twin, intelligent, and hysterical.”

As the kind of student Sagar is, he plans to go to college. He wants to go to UC Berkley or UCLA. He does not yet know what he wants to do, but his ideas are to do something medical or business, but more science related. We know Sagar will push himself to greatness for we know that great people with brilliant minds can do anything.
